Milwaukee, a little closerGame day at American Family Field: parking, tailgating & tips
American Family Field parking, tailgating rules, transit options, and how to stay warm at an October World Series game in Milwaukee.
Parking & getting there
Most fans drive and park in the stadium lots. Postseason parking may need to be bought in advance, so check the Brewers’ current parking page before you go. Milwaukee County Transit has run game-day service in past seasons; check MCTS for current postseason options. Rideshare drop-off zones can get congested after the final out.
Tailgating
Milwaukee is one of baseball’s great tailgating towns. Arrive early, check the current lot rules on grills and open times, and plan a designated driver.
What to bring
The roof keeps the rain off, but October nights are cold in the lots. Bring layers, a hat, and gloves. Read the bag policy before you leave your hotel.
After the game
Traffic out of the lots takes time. Head toward Walker’s Point or the Third Ward for a late dinner while the roads clear.
Confirm current opening hours, tickets, access rules, and transport before visiting.
