3 days in Tampa Bay: a World Series itinerary

A three-day Tampa Bay itinerary for World Series visitors: where to stay in St. Pete, game day at Tropicana Field, and a Gulf beach day.

Where to stay

Downtown St. Petersburg is the best base: hotels like the Vinoy, the Hilton Bayfront, and the Hollander put you near the Pier and Central Avenue, a short ride from the ballpark. Staying in Tampa means a 30–45 minute drive across the bay on game day. Book early — World Series weekends sell out.

Day 1 · Downtown St. Pete

Start at the St. Pete Pier for bay views, then walk Beach Drive for lunch. Spend the afternoon at the Dalí Museum and dinner on Central Avenue.

Day 2 · Game day

Spend the morning at Sunken Gardens or the Grand Central District, then head to Tropicana Field early. The dome is air conditioned, so October baseball here is comfortable.

Day 3 · The beaches

Drive out to Clearwater Beach or Fort De Soto for a Gulf day. Stay for sunset at Pier 60, then finish with a night in Ybor City if you have the energy.

Confirm current opening hours, tickets, access rules, and transport before visiting.
